anchoring ledger to brick

Anchor your ledger board to the house using 1/2" diameter x 4" long (min. I normally use 5") masonry bolts. Depending on the deck size you will need the anchor bolts spaced out no greater than 6' but much better at 4' spaces.
Do not use tapcons (blue masonry screws)

I would like to build a deck this spring. The side of my house is brick and I am not sure what the best way to anchor it to the house is. The deck will be outside of a second story room.
