  • Getting candle dye out of carpet....Help!

I have candles that I put on electric heat pads. One of our cats tipped one over last night and got wax all over the place. Well, it's about an 18x6 inch spot that it covered. The candle was vanilla, so it was a lighter color, and our carpet is light brown. Anyways, I took a hot iron and paper towels, and after about three hours I think I finally got all the wax out, but the stain remains. I tried a pet oxy stain remover, rubbing alcohol, and vegetable oil, with no luck, so far anyways.

Any suggestions on how to get this out? I guess I'm at my wits end and don't know where else to turn. One person told me to use goo gone, but then someone else said that they tried goo gone but it stained their carpet....then another said WD-40. Thought I would see what you experts think first....

Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!
