For some reason, I can never remember to sit my cold/hot drink on a coaster. Unfortunately, neither can my friends who are always hanging out at my new place. I am always left with big, ugly water marks on my wooden coffee table. Please tell me I am not the only one this repeatedly happens to!?

After much research, and many failed attempts at removing these hideous marks, I have finally found something that works...a blow dryer. Technically, that white stain is just trapped moisture, or water. Therefore, it would makes sense to apply heat in order to remove the moisture. Genius!

All I do is set my blow dryer on the medium heat setting, place it as close to the stain as possible, and let the heat do it's magic. It works best if you can get to the water mark earlier, rather than on one that has been there for multiple years.

I have also heard that mayonnaise (of all things) will also remove water stains from furniture. What other tricks have you found to save your wooden furniture?
