Laptop to tv issue...

My wife wants/needs to watch her laptop stuff on the kitchen tv. No success. I can get it to work on the living room tv, but there are enough HDMI ports to accommodate that. The kitchen unit has an HDMI port, but is in use. I tried using a transformer powered unit to go from the laptop HDMI to the tv rca ports, but no success. I then got a cable that went directly from laptop HDMI port to tv rca input ports. Still no success. Even tried HDMI to S-video. How can I get the laptop to view on this tv for her?
TV is Insignia NS-LTDVD20
Laptop is HP Stream Laptop 11-y0xx (X7V32UA#ABA)

Met with success. Sort of. Did manage to get a picture through the S-video port, but no sound. She suggested using some speakers from an old (very old) computer. They're flat panels with a small sub-woofer. Super great sound. They work great on her laptop. My w(L)ife is happy!
