Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop

My daughter has a Dell 1525 Laptop that one night was working fine and then the screen froze up and then went black and that is it. While trying to re-boot I can't get the computer to boot farther than spinning the fan and flashing the lights. I had someone look at it and he replaced the motherboard and tried a few more things, like cleaning all the dust out, to no avail . This computer is just off the Dell warranty so they won't even talk about it unless we pay.

Does anyone have any ideas we can try to get her computer back up???

why did the guy install a new MB? was the old one fried? what's the condition of the hdd? did your tech try re-installing the windows os?

The HD is fine. He tried a new MB w/CPU and a hard drive out of his girlfriends 1525 and nothing. He thinks what cause it was that it overheated because the fan was plugged up.
