one telephone jack does not work

hello,

One of my telephone jacks in my apartment suddenly does not have a dial tone any more, while my other jack does. They are connected to the same line. What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Please email me if you have any inclination. Thanks.

I guess it has to be either faulty wiring or a faulty jack. It is pretty easy to replace the jack, just wire it the same way the existing jack is. If that doesn't work, then it must be the line. Alot of phone services include inside wiring maintenance plans. Perhaps you have one too?
