  • Problems taking off a impeler from a water pump

    Hello everyone:
I've been following this forum for a long time, and its great for all of our doubts when it comes to repairing something in our houses!
But I do have a question.
I've been trying to fix my water pump (a sta-rite dura-glass II), because it started to sound wierd. When I begin to disassemble the whole thing, I stop when I couldn't get out the impeller. After going to their homepage, I saw that I have to unscrew it, but I have to confess that its IMPOSIBLE! I don't know how to do it, even if I follow all the instructions. Can someone give me some help? I have pictures of it. If someone wants me to send them to see whats the problem, please feel free to ask me

    Thanks a lot!

Is it stuck on front rust or corrosion? If so, try using a product called PB Blaster. You can get it from most aut parts stores. Shake it well and spray a bit on and gently tap and wait 20 minutes. If it's not corrosion, could it possibly be a left-hand thread?
