Not trying to sell a program but I have found Home plan pro software a boon for drawing home projects and home blueprints accurately. You can figure out dimensions, draw actual pictures of you projects, add lines, delete lines and build your project on the computer, make corrections BEFORE you actually build it real time! Then print it up locally on your printer for your own set of plans.
