  • Problem with build-it-yourself furniture

I bought a little set of glass and metal shelves at Target. The metal frames for the shelves are supposed to attach to the metal legs with screws. My problem is that one of the holes is much bigger than the hole it is supposed to match up with, and bigger than the screw. So, the threads of the screw just don't catch on the bigger hole. Any advice on how to screw together two pieces of metal when the pre-drilled holes are not even close to the same size?

    Thanks!

If it came like this outta the box then I would suggest returning it for another one. Otherwise you can use some JB Weld at the joint, clamp it tight and it will weld its self together, though you'll never want to take it apart then.

I would definitely bring it back. When you have to start resizing and trying to fix what they did wrong it just ends up a bigger headache. Just went thru this with an end table from Walmart. I should have just returned it rather than messing with it.
