    I read your post in the cordless drill thread and thought you'd be a good person to ask this to.

    Someone told me that Milwaukee is no longer using their own motors in the newer Sawzalls and they've switched to the Johnson motor. Is this true and how much of a drop off is this in your opinion? Also what do you think of the overall quality of power tools these days since most are being made in China?

    The Johnson Motor has been around for a while. It is made by sanyo. The motor is quite reliable. The newest echnologies use a Lithium Ion cell opposed to the NiCad cell. Lithium Ion is more dependable, lasts longer, doesn't have a charge memory. It provided a constant current until its almost depleted then the current drops off dramatically.
