  • Brick Home insulating

Greetings, my home has a brick exterior with a brick interior, (Ringle brick). I live in Wisconsin so the winters are COLD... the brick gets cold and radiates into the living area, though in the summer the temp is great, winter not so. There is a air space between the brick of about 2 to 3 inches. Putting exterior foam on will change the face of the house (nah). Interior foam will shrink the indoor living space.

Now I am going to replace the double hung windows with quality ones.

The question.... can I insulate the space between the brick with a expanding foam or a blown cellulose to create a barrier in that air space or is a moisture problem going to come about..... or is the interior solution the way to go or fix the windows and sell and buy new...

Thanks for any research and know how given on this....

    Steve
