  • Frigidaire Oven Preheat

I have a Frigidaire Gallery Wall Oven,
    Model FEB386CEBG
    Ser# NF94709701

When I set the Bake to preheat,
it is supposed to make a beep,
when the preheat temp is reached.
But, there is no beep .
There are beeps when I push buttons,
    but not for reached temp.

    Any comments are appreciated.

When I set the Bake to preheat
Are you actually pressing the "preheat" button rather than "bake"?

it is supposed to make a beep when the preheat temp is reached.
But, there is no beep . There are beeps when I push buttons
If preheat is definitely being selected (as opposed to just bake) and the oven is heating properly, I don't know why it wouldn't beep at the end of the preheat period except for a defect in the control if the buttons are still beeping when pressed.

(It is possible to disable the beeping when buttons are pressed although I don't know if that would affect the alert at the end of the preheat function. If they're still beeping, that option being set is not likely the cause.)

There is no button that says "Preheat", but the button in it's place is "Conv. Bake/Roast"

The wife likes to bake with preheat. She is not accustomed to Convection cooking. Looks like I will have to just put on bake, and let it rise to temp I want.

      Tx for your comments.

        NO preheat feature??

There is no button that says "Preheat"
Than it may not have that feature. Did it operate differently in the past than it is now??

We just moved in here, and are figuring it out. We have the manual.

unfortunately the manual covers several different models. All the features described in it may not pertain to all those models.

If you don't know that it was working differently prevously, I would suspect it is working as designed.
