Maytag Oven Door

Hi:

I have a Maytag range which my wife sprayed stainless steel cleaner thru the vent at the top of the oven door.......now we have all kinds of crud between the inner & outer glass panels. Does the door dis-assemble so I can clean the glass???? Looks like it might, but I'm not going to try until I know for sure.

Look for your range and find an expanded diagram. It should show how the door is put together.

Yes, the oven door on a stove comes apart to replace parts or clean inside if necessary. The door should usually be removed from the appliance to service it. Look in the owner's manual for how to go about removing the door on your model.

It's usually not difficult. There are usually just a couple screws holding the inner and outer door halves together so you can get to the interior surfaces.
