Hello,
I'm beginning a kitchen remodel and intend to replace the existing electric range with a combination of gas drop in stove (different location) and double wall oven. I want to use the existing circuit for the new double oven.
The existing range has a 50 amp breaker.
The future new double oven ( GE Profile PT9550SF ) requires only a 40 amp breaker.
House was built in 1998
Can I use the existing 50 amp breaker or do I need to switch it out with a 40 amp? If I need to switch, can I at least use the existing larger gage wire?
