I have a side-by-side Kenmore Model#36358251891
It is about 4years old, I bought it new. It has worked great except last
summer when I had to have the evaporator fan replaced. Today it just stopped working. The lights inside are all that seem to be doing anything. No clicking, no fans, no noises at all. It just stopped working. I checked out the repair guide and seen a list of things to check.
# Test the temperature control
# Test the evaporator fan
# Test the defrost timer
# Test the compressor relay
# Test the overload protector
# Test the compressor motor
I cleaned the condensor coils, they were somewhat dirty, but nothing major. The compressor was pretty hot, not sure how hot it is suppose to get. I unplugged it and let it sit for a few hours, it cooled off but still is not doing anything when I plug it in.
I was wondering if someone might be able to point me in a general direction before I start tearing into this beast. A guess at which one of these things it sounds most like would be great.
TIA

Another note is that the freezer was doing the normal hissing and popping that the defrost heater makes.
Evaporator Fan spins freely, I am going to assume its still good, since it is fairly new. Still searching for my multimeter, always something....
