Garbage Disposal

My Disposal is backing up but my sink doesn't back up. I snaked the clean out. I checked the pea trap and nothing was in it. I checked the vent and nothing was blocking that. The garbage disposal is new and I hooked it up about a 2 months ago. When I hooked it up at first everything was fine until I found food from my disposal coming out the front of my clean out due to the fact there was no plug in the front. After I plugged it this is when the sink started to back up. Could I have hooked up the garbage disposal inproperly or does the problem go deeper than this. Please Help-Teeple

Does just water go down ok? Or is it that nothing will go down? When you run water through it, does it behave correctly?
