I have a Frigidaire gas range and one of the burners won't light. It is the spark electrode type and the electrode is not sparking. Any suggestions??? Is this a do-it-yourself repair or should I call a repairman????

Does the ignitor work with the other burners and the oven/broiler?? If so - check out the burner valve switch that initiates the spark.
Thanks.

I checked out my range - It is also a Frigidaire and all the numbers are the same as yours except for the last four letters. Mine used the LPG conversion kit cause I use propane.
Go to this link and you'll find the ignitor switch. www.repairclinic.com
The switch is on the second parts page in the link.

The part I ended up replacing was the spark module which is a bit pricey. I would suggest calling an Appliance Tech to troubleshoot this for you instead of black boxing it and spending more for parts you don't need. Also, I've not heard good things about ordering parts through Repair Clinic just in case you decided to use them as your supplier. Their site is great to look up things, but don't order from them, they like shipping the wrong part and not taking it back.
