  • Replacing bathroom heater/light/fan unit

    Hi,

I need to replace the fan/heater/light unit in my master bath. Being that I've never done this I don't know what to expect. I was wondering if I would be okay if I removed/replaced the unit housing in the ceiling and wired the new unit to the existing wall switch. Or would I have to replace the switch?

Is this a DIY or better left to an electrician?

    Thanks,

    Michas

Whatever comes packed with the unit it should be a direct replacement. Find the circuit (s) that power the fan combo and shut them (it) off then unwired the unit and replace it. Wire up the same way you took it out.

Thanks for the info and the response. I'll give it a try and if I run into difficulty I'll post that here....hopefully you guys will know what I did wrong.
