Does anyone know a source for a repair manual, either factory or aftermarket? The item is a Whirlpool Thin Twin washer/dryer stack. Model is LT7000XTW0

It is about 15 years old. Actually, there is no malfunctin right now. I have replaced the electric heating element twice, and otherwise no problems. I feel I would like to get 5 to 8 more years service out of the machine, and am willing to invest my time to make a few repairs if they come up within that time frame. I am a pragmatist, and will not throw good money ( or time ) after bad. I fully understand that in this day and age, the practical thing to do is often to just scrap it and get a new one. When that time comes, I do that.

Anyway, I recently saved quite a bit of money on the repair of my Mayag gas range, using the tremendous help obtained here, and by purchasing a Maytag manual someone referred me to. I just don't remember where I bought that one!

AFAIK Whirlpool does not usually produce service manuals for each specific appliance. They do however have a general repair manual for both their washers and dryers (see the following links). The washer in your unit is one of Whirlpool's 'direct drive' models BTW.

Those manuals are produced by Whirlpool them self.

That's a very good possibility IMO if problems get looked into as soon as they occur and are not left to fester and get worse and/or do additional damage.
