I need parts ( a whole door ) for my Goldstar over the range microwave. The model is MV-1155W

I have looked all over the web, including the Repair Clinic and Marcone. The answer seems to be that no parts are available for this.

I know that Goldstar is defunct; and the successor company is LG, but they don't seem to acknowledge any support for Goldstar models.

Does anyone have any "stealth" sources for Goldstar parts?

This looks like another lesson about "buy American". Even if the item is not manufactured in the US, the US brand ie GE etc will be more likely to provide some support.

The door assembly part # 3581W1A063F looks to be available from the company at the following link. They list it as a Zenith part although it actually comes from LG Electronics (which stands for Lucky/Goldstar). Maybe they own the Zenith brand name?

Dan, you are so good it is scary! Thanks very much for the info. I am aware the LG is the successor company to Lucky Chemical and Goldstar. Also, LG now owns the Zenith brand in televisions, so there is some consistency in the part number.

Thank you very much. Now I get to decide if I want to spring $125 on a 6 year old microwave!

No doubt. Not to try to sway you one way or the other but don't forget to figure in the hassle of installing a different model and dealing with the venting differences, etc. [B)]
