  • maytag dishwasher not cleaning

dishes are left with soap residue and food particules. thought I needed new dishwasher, but new one does same thing. have tried different soap, adjusted water temp., used rinse aid, checked hoses, etc. even after washing with very little soap (sometimes no soap just to see what happens) still have cloudy and dirty dishes. I tried running dishwasher empty and notice soap bubbles still there during wash cycle. for some reason soap is not draining properly. even after running cycle with no soap several times, there is still residue on coil on bottom and bubbles. serviceman said disposal not the problem but what could it be? this has been going on for years, but thought a new dishwasher would cure the problem. I have a feeling it's not the dishwasher.

thanks to anyone out there who can help me!!!

    Possible water flow problem

It sounds like you have a water flow problem. It could be that not enough water is getting into the machine. Some dishwashers use time to determine the proper amount of water instead of the old float switch when the water level was high enough. Let the water fill the tub. Once the water has turned off and the wash cycle starts, open the door and look at the water level. You should have about 2" of water in the tank.

    Good luck

      maytag dishwasher

thank you for your response, I checked water level after dishwasher filled up, has correct amount of water but still having the same problem. Repairman was insistant that disposal was not the problem? There is no air gap but hoses are elevated correctly. Any other suggestions? thanks a bunch
