    Maybe LSN1000HQ0?

it suddenly gets to the spin cycle and quits.
Does the timer advances through the rest of the cycle to the end?

if the timer seems ok check the solenoids under the tub on the transmission. if the plungers do not pull in then the tub won;\'t spin.

The Timer does not advance, it stops before any water is pumped out. Does this indicate a Timer problem. Is the solution a new TImer. Thanks for the replies.

That would only apply to older, belt-drive Whirlpool washer models. The OP's model (if it really is LSN1000HQ0) should be a 'direct drive' (ie. beltless) washer design.

Than you may have a problem in the washer's lid switch (see the following link) or that switch's actuator. The washer will not advance to the drain/spin portion of the cycle unless it can detect that the lid is closed, as a safety precaution.

PS. Did you double check the model number so we can be sure what appliance you're dealing with???

It was the Lid Switch. Wife forgot to mention she had stuck a screwdriver in the hole, and switch gave way.
            Thanks for the help
