  • Jennair model SVD48600B won't unlock after cleaning

I recently moved into this house with a Jenn-Air dual fuel range/oven. When I tried to put it into self-cleaning mode it wouldn't start the cleaning cycle. But in pushing on the door the lock light came on and the cleaning cycle worked. Now the lock light is on and the door won't open. Any thoughts on how to open the door and turn off the lock light will be appreciated. Otherwise, it looks like a service call will be necessary. Thanks.

    Oven Door Unlocked

Well I solved the problem. First, it is possible to slide a long screw driver blade into the door to release the lock and open the oven door. Upon doing this I discovered a switch on the upper right hand side which was partially pushed into the oven frame. So I retrieved the switch, pulled it out of the oven frame and reinstalled it into the hole in the frame and everything was back to working order.
