  • Whirlpool Oven Problem

Model is a Super Capacity 465. When trying to use the oven, it goes into its pre-heat mode, then after several minutes it's supposed to go into its bake mode. It keeps 'clicking' back into pre-heat mode; also the LED control panel no longer makes the 'beeping' noises when you touch it to change the settings, options, etc.

Thanks in advance for any help/guidance/suggestions.

That might be some sort of marketing name but it is the actual model number we need to identify the product in question ("465" isn't it). You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.

It actually says it is preheating on the display?

    But all the buttons work?

If so, maybe there's a setting on the control which can turn the sounds off and it was set by accident? Check your owner's manual. Otherwise, all I can think of is that the control itself might be defective.
