  • Hotpoint dryer

    I have a hotpoint dryer dlb1550b. The dryer works for sometime but when I start it up again it dose not start until it cools and that can be about 30 min. Why dose it do that and how can I fix it.

    That model number is incomplete, did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number identification tag?

    The dryer works for sometime but when I start it up again it dose not start until it cools and that can be about 30 min.
    That is a typical symptom of the motor overheating and cutting out on its internal overload protector (which resets once cooled). If the motor is not just plugged with dust and lint, etc. hampering its cooling ability, the motor may be defective and need to be replaced.
