  • Another Maytag blinking light question

I have a Maytag dishwasher model MDB9100AWW that cutoff in mid-cycle. Both the "CLEAN" and "HEATED DRY" lights blink at the same time. According to the electronic test sheet it says the following about this:

"A memory/software check will occur immediately after the control is powered up. If a failure is detected, the Clean and Heated Dry LED will flash and the test will abort."

Does this sound like something in the circuit board has died? Any error that is associated with "memory" and "software" doesn't sound good.

I will try the push button test as mentioned in the previous Maytag post.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated very much

Got the code to clear but...

it keeps coming back. After clearing the code, the dishwasher will run for a few minutes and then stop. Then the code will start flashing.

Serial number needed for correct part

I have not encountered your particular symptom myself but an electronic control failure does sound likely to me, yes. Which one yours takes will depend on the serial number of the appliance in addition to its model number.

      JFYI
