My 2 year old Frigidaire stacked W/D combo (Model # GLEH1642FS) is not advancing to the next part of the cycle. Once I choose the desired cycle, the washer fills with water and does the initial tumbling/spinning/rinsing, but then it just sits there. I can get it to move to the next spinning/rinsing by turning the washer off (pressing the knob in), moving the knob a bit, and then turning the washer on. But then I'll have to do this several more time to get the load to finish (plus I have no idea if I'm skipping cycles, repeating cycles, etc). Any suggestions?

Door switch??
A defective door lock switch could prevent the timer from advancing to various points in the cycle, as a safety precaution. Someone might need to check its operation.
