  • Kenmore model 70 tub wont fill

Hello all, new to this forum. Hoping someone can help me with this.

This Kenmore washer model 70 (model #22722101) is about 4-5 years old. If start a normal load, no matter which cycle I pick...the tub doesn't fill. It'll sit there forever and won't fill. Im assuming there's some sort of solenoid that closes off and allows the tub to fill. Maybe not. I'm actually a car mechanic. Have been for 30+ years. So I'm no dummy when it comes to mechanical and electrical repairs.

Would appreciate any input regarding common failure componants that would cause such a failure.

    Thanks in advance,

    John

    Hi,

The complete model number is likely 110.22722101 making it a Whirlpool built machine.

There is a water valve (see the following links) which when powered opens to allow water to flow through it.

Has anyone confirmed the water taps for the machine's hoses are turned on and there are no blockages in those hoses like plugged sediment screens?
