Hello. I have a garbage disposal model 5-71A (not sure make) that is only vibrating when I turn it on. I saw a reset button and pushed it but that didn't help. Is there a length of time to hold the button or is there anything else I should try before calling someone? thanks for any and all suggestions!

If the disposal is vibrating when turned on then there could be something jammed in it, try removing the black rubber boot from the sink side and look inside for something jammed in there, usually though if this happens the noise it makes is kinda obvious at the time, if you do this make sure you either trip the breaker for the disposal or be EXTRA careful.
The reset button is basically a GFCI and is an overload protection device.
