Clean a toaster oven tray

Probably no good way to do this.


Is is possible to get clean an old toaster oven tray with caked on grease from two+ years of improper cleaning? My friend says it can't be done, stop wasting my time.

I tried, foolishly, car engine degreaser, and a little greese came off, but not hte tough caked on stuff.


Please, no pricy cleaners.
