For anyone reading this, I left the freezer unplugged for 50 hours and the ice melted and I was able to open the freezer.

My freezer door won't open
I have a KitchenAid refrigerator with a bottom freezer drawer. It was hard to open and now it won't open at all. I have run a hair dryer around the seal, but that hasn't helped. The defrost drain was clogged, so I unclogged it, but the result is something is frozen and the door won't open. I did unplug it for 15 hours to see if it would thaw, but it didn't. Did I not leave it unplugged long enough? Any thoughts or ideas are greatly welcome.
