Has anyone had experience with the Bosch 300 Series dishwasher (model SHS63VL5UC) leaving a white, chalky residue on dishes? This can be an issue with some models, especially noticeable on dark-colored plates and glasses. From what I understand, using rinse aid and adjusting the water softener settings doesn't always solve the problem. Are there any reliable fixes that don't involve calling for service?

Hi there!
This usually happens when there are too many minerals in the water, which can leave a film even if you’re using rinse aid and adjusting the water softener. Sometimes it’s just about using too much detergent, or the detergent might not be the best fit for the water type. Another possibility is that the dishwasher might need a good cleaning—running a cycle with dishwasher cleaner or white vinegar can help. Also, make sure the water heater is set to about 120°F (49°C), and check if the salt reservoir is full if the dishwasher has one. Hopefully, these tips will help clear things up and get the dishes looking great again.
