Pump issues on KitchenAid KUDR01TJ

The dishwasher fills and drains just fine, but when the comes time to run the cycle the unit just hums.

Now, I've read that there are two potential causes for that: either the motor is dead or there is an obstruction that needs to be cleared. For the cost of the motor I could pick up another dishwasher off the local classifieds, while clearing an obstruction is something I could do myself.

I taken everything apart on the inside that I could get my hands and tools on and cleaned it up, but nothing obvious presented there. I'd like to get into the rest of the obstruction possibility, but I'd like some guidance before I do so. I've looked online for diagrams, but I can't find anything.

Any advice or links before I dive in to what I hope isn't extremely shallow water?

Filling is a function of the water fill valve only, draining a separate drain pump. The washing is done using the main pump motor.
