Hi there! For your TCL TV sound upgrade, it really comes down to your preferences and setup. Soundbars are straightforward - they're easy to install, take up less space, and are usually cheaper. They'll definitely improve your TV audio, but won't give you that full surround effect.

Full surround systems, on the other hand, offer better sound quality and a more immersive experience. But they do need more space, some wiring, and they'll cost more.

Consider your room size, budget, and how much you care about audio quality. If you want something simple that still sounds good, go for a soundbar. If you're after the best possible sound and don't mind a more complex setup, then a full system might be worth it. Both will be a big step up from your TV speakers, so you can't really go wrong either way.

    Hope this helps!

      Do soundbars have built-in subwoofers?

Yes, many soundbars do come with built-in subwoofers! These soundbars are designed to enhance the overall audio experience by providing deeper bass without the need for a separate subwoofer. However, the quality and depth of the bass can vary between models. Some soundbars also offer the option to connect to an external subwoofer for an even richer sound experience, which can be a great choice if you want more powerful bass. When shopping for a soundbar, it's worth checking the specifications to see if it includes a built-in subwoofer or if it has the capability to pair with an external one.
