    Hi all.
my dad just had a granite countertop installed with an undermounted sink. looks good, but upon closer inspection the installer didn't use the bolts that came with the sink to mount it to the underneath of the granite countertop. (He just used wooden blocks with a load of adhesive). so, aside from being a be miffed, i plan on putting the screws in myself. however, i've never worked with granite before and was wondering if i should use a special drill bit made for granite. My other fear is that while i'm drilling into the granite it might crack.
I would appreciate any advice and tips in dealing with this problem from people more experienced than I.

    Use a masonry bit.

However, here is a link to another product;http://www.condells.com/kitchens_vance.htm
    Illegitimas non-carborundum

I would call the installer back and have him use the hardware. Unless you are accomplished at drilling stone, you can cause damage to the stone.

      Good luck.
