  • HELP!!! regarding mobile home 220v...

I'd like to know....our mobile home is pretty old we are still running on fuses. We lose light at time and have to replace them..quite often.

We are now interested in purchasing a washer and dryer. We have one 220v installed for the stove...does this mean we need two now for the washer/dryer?

it is much easier to purchase an "over-under" washer dryer combination, this way you have just one 240 feed. the dryer elements and motor and the washer's motor is 240 volt. you will need to install a 240 volt "sidearm" which is a fused 240 disconnect. the feeder needs to be a four wire as does the pigtail from the appliance.
