  • GFCI tripping on low voltage gate

    Hi all,
    First time poster
I have a low voltage remote gate across my driveway. It is wired into what appears to be some kind of in-line transformer that plugs in to the gfci. I have checked the wiring leading to the gate and it appears to be unscathed and in good condition. The gfci keeps tripping. after reset it will work for a short time and then trips again. I have very limited electrical experience, but would like to be able to trouble shoot this myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

simple, don't use the gfci. the gate is a dedicated circuit. you only need protection against overloads.
