I have an outlet that says GFCI protected on it and I think I tripped it but there is no reset button, How do I reset it? Thanx

If this is a small sticker that is on the outlet, what this means is that this outlet is wired on the LOAD side of a GFCI receptacle. So, you need to find the GFCI that has the reset button on it and reset it, then this receptacle will also have power restored. A GFCI looks like this:

You will find them anyplace, but they should be in your bathrooms, kitchen coutertop receptacles, garage, unfinshed basement and outdoors. So you need to go searching for it.

You were right, I found 3 of then that had the button and the 3rd one did the trick. So that means all of them are wired in to the few that have the breakers right? Any way thanx

What you should do is get yourself a plug tester, look at this link Figure 3 http://www.electrical-online.com/how...agetesters.htm

Then you can go to one of your GFCI and push the TEST button. Then use your plug tester and go around the house testing the individual receptacles and see which one's don't have power. You can do this for all of your GFCI one at a time to see what they control. You should also do this same test by opening your breakers in your main panel one at a time and then go around your house finding which receptacles and lights are controlled by each breaker, then you can write it down and post this little map by your breaker box so you can easily know what is controlled by each breaker. Here is a link that details how to map your circuits: http://www.easy2diy.com/cm/easy/diy_...ge_id=35693919

Glad you got it fixed, good luck to you.
