  • strange problem with lights and switch

I have several sets of flourescent lights in my kitchen which up until tonight, were all controlled by a wall switch. Today, I replaced several of the tubes and now, when I turn the switch on/off, only some of the lights come on. There are several other switches in the kitchen which we have never used but now they turn on/off the lights NOT being controlled by the master switch!!

It seems insane but it seems that previously, all of the fixtures were on the same circuit and not poof, for some reason they have been separated into different ones. I didn't do anything else other than replace some bulbs..

    Can anyone help?!!
    Thanks

Totally wierd scenario. OK, the kitchen has to be big. Right? I'm thinking 3 way at the entry point and three way at the most distant exit point. Am I right so far? Line goes in one switch box and load exits the last. In the middle are four way switches. Doesn't matter how many just as long as the travelers are connected properly to the curcuit. The neutral (white) are spliced on through. If you reverse the connections on a four way it shouldn't make a difference, the switch position will determine on or off. You didn't disturb anything else, just replaced the tubes, right? Then the circuit should operate as originally wired. All fixtures in parallel to the load side of the three way.
