I'm try insatll an AC unit, witch requires a 220 line. It's a 250v 20amp unit. I installed a 250v 20amp plug, I used 123 wire ( about 50 ft ) and a 250v 20 amp breaker for a murry box. when I had everything hooked up and turned on the power to the box everything was fine then I flipped on the new breaker and it fried, even though the ac unit was'nt plugged in yet. I thought maybe I had a bad breaker so I bought a new from from a different place and that one also fried. can any one HELP !

Frying 2 breakers is a near impossible task, so you probably need some professional help. What could be wrong? You haven't told us how you ran the wires....what colors went where, etc. What type of receptacle do you have and how did you wire it?

Don't 'fry" anything else until you find out what's wrong.
