    installing a subpanel

    Just another quick question
Can I install a 100 amp subpanel with a 40 or 60 amp double pole feeder breaker? I want to install the subpanel in my garage which will house two receptacles that will run my air compressor and other tools, also a couple of lights and the door opener. Maybe a 100 amp is a bit much, would you suggest anything better? Let me know
    Thank you

I have a 60 amp line in my garage. I fed it with 4 #6s In conduit all the way. There's a 100 amp sub panel in the garage - main lug only. Branch breaker is in the basement. I got a dedicated circuit for a compressor and four branch cicuits for power and lights. My table saw is 220 single phase.
