I know there have been a few posts on this topic; I just want to bludgeon the topic to death.
In our living room, we have two fans which are the same. Four light fixtures come from the bottom of the post under the fan blades. The fan has four speeds and no off position. Aside from installing a remote in the canopy (which I believe to be impossible, considering the fact that there is a 6 or 7 foot extension from the ceiling to the fan housing) is there any way to control the voltage to the lights separate from the fan, or is the current going to the unit a single one which is divided in the unit between fan / light?
Thanks in advance,
Clay
