What's this? Every couple weeks?!! Yikes. Well, The neighbor offered his generator, as mine is/(was) still out of commision. Of coarse I checked the output on his first and found it running at 135 volts. Well, this isn't good either. Not as bad as the 183 I had a few weeks ago on mine, but still not good. Knowing that the output is related to engine rpm's, I put the meter to it while he dialed the rpm's down. His now runs fine. Could this've been a problem on mine? (The cheap one?) We hauled that one out and started dinkin' with it and found the darned governor linkage was sticky! Annnd, it was stuck in about the highest rpm position possible! So, we fiddled with it, found the issue, freed it up, dialed that in, connected to house and wife was happy! A cheap fix for a cheap generator! Silver linings on an otherwise cloudy day!
Merry Christmas to all, and thanks again for the help, HayZee!
