I have a GFCI outlet in my attic that has a fan plugged into it. The box is in the open due to the attic not being finished. Now when I touch the metal box it is warm to the touch. Not hot or even real warm just warm enough that you can tell by touch.
Down the circuit I have 2 lights and an outlet. The lights are always off since it's an attic and the outlet only has a small air freshener in it. Is this normal?
I tested the GFCI and it works, everything downstream goes off, and it resets on the second push. This may be because when I tested it I immediately reset it..
Any insite on this?
