I recently bought a house and the outlet controlled by the switch in the living room is an incredible inconvient area of the house. I'm the type that doesn't mind installing a light in the ceiling but I'm not sure I'd want to tackle something requiring me to cut into the wall to rewire outlets. Does anyone know of any products out there that would allow this switch to operate a light in a different part of the room?

Chad,
Welcome to the forum. If you don't want to cut access holes to run new wire in the walls, it only leaves you with running a wire exposed up the wall and across the ceiling to the fixture.
The house I am in now had a 'swag' or hanging lamp in one of the living rooms done just like that. Your local lighting store can fix you up with a fixture and a long piece of lamp cord with a plug on one end.
Also do a search on google for 'swag lamp' , 'hanging lamp' or 'wall lamp' and you'll find lots to choose from.
Good luck, Jim
