I've been searching all over the internet to find a solution to this scenario, but I haven't had any luck. I have a GFCI outlet in my kitchen that has a green indicator light that does not stay on, but the outlet itself works. The light stays off when nothing is plugged in, but if I plug in a device into the top of the two outlets, the light comes on! The test/reset functionality works as well. This only started happening recently (I have a new construction townhouse and have lived in it for about a year and a half).
Could this be a problem with the wiring or just a problem with the outlet itself?
