Garage Floodlight

Looking to put up a motion sensor floodlight above my garage door so when I drive up at night the light comes on.

Any tips or tricks?

P.S.: I live in NY, does the new switch need to be GFCI protected?

no, only reason for a gfci is to protect personnel. the floodlight is out of reach of people

Make sure to put it together well. Those eyes have gone bad on me too a few times. and make sure its waterproof as well.
