my house has a partical board flooring and we would like to take all of it up and put 3/4" plywood down before carpet, tile, and wood flooring. some spots have broken through and are very weak. it is a modular we bricked the outside and roof is new and shingled though so i have steel beams under there. Any advice on removing the partical boards and replacing with plywood the absolute fastest but will last and be level would be so appreciated! We have started to remove the partical board and it is literally crumbling. looking like a nightmare already.it is approx 2400 sq ft and we really have to do this ourselves so please anyone?!

Replacing particle board with plywood can definitely be a bit of a challenge, but with some planning, you can get it done smoothly.
First off, make sure you’ve got all your safety gear on—gloves, goggles, and a dust mask. Particle board can be pretty messy, so better safe than sorry! Start by scoring the boards with a utility knife to make them easier to break apart. Use a pry bar to lift them out, and a circular saw can help with any tough cuts. Make sure to clean up as you go and dispose of the old boards properly.
Once you’ve got the old stuff out, take a good look at the subfloor. Ensure it’s clean and in good shape. If there are any issues, fix them before moving forward. For the plywood, measure and cut it to fit, laying it down with a slight gap around the edges. Secure it with screws spaced about 6-8 inches apart, and check with a level to make sure everything is even.
When it’s all down, you might want to seal the plywood if your new flooring requires it. That’ll help with adhesion and give you a nice, smooth surface.
