Am getting ready to pour a slab for a room expansion. It will actually be a 4" cap with footings 8" wide and roughly 12" deep. Footings will have 1/2" and 1/4" rebar, and will tie to remesh used in the cap. I'm not worried about the footing depth since, here in central TX, we don't have frost line issues to worry about.
I'd like to pour the footings using a small cement mixer and do only 8' to 10' at a time to give myself some rest. That will naturally result in a dry joint between sections (though all sections will still be tied together with the rebar).
Here's the question: Will pouring the footings a section at a time cause any problems? (The cap will be done in one continuous pour.)
Thx in advance (and sorry if I'm asking in the wrong forum)
