Hello Everybody,
I'm new to the site and was wanting to see if anyone had any ideas on how to handle this situation.
My house has a sunroom that was an add-on to the original house before I bought it. The house was built in 1976, I'm not sure when the sunroom was done.
Anyway onto the problem. The sunroom has a ceramic tile floor whick actually looks fine. The problem is taht when the sunroom was done the floors were never finished in the four courners of the room. They were left open with the idea that you would be able to plant something there into the soil and not have to use a pot of some kind. An interesting idea I'll admit, but now I'm looking at converting the room into a gameroom with a pool table so I need the floor to be the same all around the room. I can be trying to hit shots with one foot in a hole.
So basically two questions:
1. How best to bring the corners up to the level of the rest of the room, and
2. How do I handle the finishing of the floors from there, It seems I won't be able to match the existing tile. Is there some trick to maybe painting the cement to match, or should i take up the tile thats there and put down something new?
Any help anyone might be able to offer up would be appreciated. Thanks.
